Hello I’m Gabby Jahanshahi-Edlin, and I’m a brand nurturer.

I use playfulness, collaboration and empathy to help founder-led organisations create strategic, sustainable growth.

In 2016, I founded the groundbreaking non-profit, Bloody Good Period after a career in Arts Education. I spent just under 6 years as CEO of BGP, building up a gorgeously talented team into a strategic, beloved organisation, before handing it over in 2022. Bloody Good Period is both trusted and disruptive - pretty much the holy grail of start up land.

Since then I’ve worked with a host of interesting, innovative organisations who wanted to bring joy, credibility and confidence into their brands.

What’s the not-so-secret sauce? Playfulness, imagination, empathy, courage, vulnerability, trust and boldness. Oh, and me.

I’m not an agency - I work directly with founders and growing companies, getting under the skin of their brand, and crafting a distinct personality that people talk about lovingly, when you’re not in the room. When needed, I bring in my favourite designers and copywriters to give you that extra something something, but I’ll never sell you a rebrand for the sake of a rebrand. No, together, we’ll get strategic and develop brilliant decision making, all the while injecting a ton of love into your business.

  • If a brand were just a nice logo and colour palette we’d all just sit back and let Canva somehow automate our businesses.

    Good brand work means that people talk about you lovingly and clearly understand what it is you offer. Doing it well is about the decisions you make, the people you hire and who represent you, the events you curate, the products you prototype... I could go on.

    Bad brand work means that no one really understands what you do, not even your team. It means every decision feels uninformed and like a big old flail about.

    I work on a project or retainer basis to make sure you only get the good brand stuff.

  • I create and deliver both open-access and bespoke workshops as part of larger projects, or as a strategic plug-in. I wholeheartedly believe that co-creation will set you and your team up to deliver magic. My workshops are designed to light up the sparks in your team that keep on burning once I’ve left.

  • Founding and running a company is HARD. I’ve been there, done it and worn the branded t-shirt.

    Sometimes you just need a bit of advice or a friendly ear. I provide in/formal coaching-style calls for early-stage founders either as one offs, or as a more regular occurrence.

    As well as my brand nurturing, I cover everything from strategic communications to building a passionate team. From creating killer partnerships to how to work with agencies. And if there’s something I don’t know, I’ll do my best to find you the right person from my extensive network.

How I do it:

You don’t run an off the shelf business so I don’t do off the shelf consulting, but my work essentially falls into three buckets, strategic consulting, advising and workshops. Just get in touch and we can work out the best combination for you.
